Rudolph Days

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for all of your well wishes, unfortunately I got all the way to the hospital on Saturday to be told my op had been cancelled due to the anaesthetist being off sick and that I should have got a call the day before ! I was a bit annoyed as you can imagine having psyched myself up all week and also the fact that my friend had travelled nearly 2 hours to be there with me as hubby was looking after our grandaughter.
Anyway now I am going in tomorrow morning instead so have spent the day in my craft room trying to chill out lol.....be glad when tomorrow evening comes and it is over and done with :)

So while I was in my craft room today I managed to make several cards, one of them being my very last minute entry to Scrappymo's Rudolph Day Challenge which I have just managed by the skin of my teeth !

For my card I used a lovely image from Buddly Crafts called Snowy Cottage...you can find it here
I coloured it with my Promarkers and added snow to the trees with a white gel pen. I found a snippet of Pink Petticoat paper (Now The Lovely Studio) which I matted onto grey card, the image was matted onto the same card and I rounded the corners with my Xcut punch. The sentiments are from DigiStamp Boutique...I love the font :)
I finished with a couple of Joycraft die cut trees, some white satin ribbon and punched snowflake.

All of our snow has gone now but I'm secretly hoping for some more on Sunday as it would be the only time I can ever remember snow for my birthday hehe
Stay safe those that still have snow where you are,

That's all for now,

Monochromatic - Challenge #365 My Time to Craft

Hi Everyone,

This is a scheduled post due to my op, I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge at
My Time to Craft ....the theme is Monochromatic.

I used a Simply Print Sheet 'James Laptop' from LOTV for my card, I die cut the image with one of my stitched squares matted on black, grey papers from The Works and the sentiment is from a stamp set I picked up in a euro shop in Spain last year. I don't have a star punch or individual star dies so I die cut a Starburst Flourish from Joanna Sheen then snipped it up to use just the stars. The little metal stars are Josy Rose.
A little twine bow finishes it off.

I hope you will head over to the MTTC blog and join in with this Challenge, we would love to see you all there :)

That's all for now

Wedding Couple

Hi Everyone,

I'm back with my second post today with a card I made with a particular challenge in mind :)

I die cut a panel with a large stitched rectangle and then cut the Bride and Groom from Joanna Sheen in 2 layers of white card and 1 layer of  foiled vellum. Finished off by stamping my sentiment underneath which is from Clearly Besotted 'Many Mini Messages' set

Have a great weekend,
Hugs Kaz xxx

Spring Bentley

Hi Everyone,

Ok so this is the 2nd post from yesterday or at least it would have been yesterday if I hadn't fallen asleep ...oops ;-)

For this card I used another DigiStamp Boutique image (I'm sorry but I think it's an addiction lol)
called 'Spring Bentley'

I coloured him with Promarkers and added a tiny punched butterfly I had left over from my last card.
The sentiment is also DSB.
I added the panel to a card base which was a lovely pink that matched the tulips perfectly :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Digi Choosday Challenge  Wk 08 - Anything Goes
I love Promarkers #353 - Anything Goes
DigiStamp Boutique Customer Competition - Feb - Anything Goes

Thanks for looking and all of your lovely comments I love reading them !

Simple Vases

Hi Everyone,
Thank you my lovely crafty friends for all the lovely comments and well wishes on my last post, I am going in hospital on Saturday for a small op so hopefully will have some answers after that. Just want it all sorted really.

This is the first of 2 posts today for a couple of challenge entries :)

As I missed the last Butterfly Challenge I wanted to make sure I got my card in this time !

    http://butterflyspotchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2018/02/95-spin-butterfly-wheel-with-letter-p.html

For my card I used one of the images from the 'Simple Vases' set and printed it 5 times !! so that I could paper piece the flowers using some gingham Pink Petticoat papers in pink, lavender and apricot (although that looks yellow in the pic) and the vase and leaves in sage. I punched my little butterflies out of the waste. The background paper is also PP (now The Lovely Studio)
I have added pearls to finish.

I think I have managed to use all 7 elements from the wheel :)

Back in a bit with my 2nd post,

Felt Flower

Good Morning Everyone,
Hope you are all ok, I'm having a few slightly worrying health issues at the moment which are affecting my mojo a bit so I have been looking for a few challenges to take my mind off those and well....challenge myself lol

I made this card for the CAS Mix Up Challenge where you have to use Felt, Cork or Canvas

My card uses Felt, Die-cutting and stamping.

I had loads of problems trying to get a decent photo of this card partly because of the tiny piece of vellum I used behind the flower, it is foiled and the foiling was reflecting so much that laid down was the best position for the card in the end I think.

The vellum is a snippet I found in my bit box which dates back to when I first started card making and bought a kit from Create and Craft which I think was Hunkydory. I die cut it with one of my Ebay stitched squares, my felt flower is cut using a Die'sire die and I have cut 3 flowers and layered them up then added a large cream pearl. It needed something else so I tucked in some little leaf stems that have been on my desk for ages.
Sentiment is from Clearly Besotted set 'A Little Sentimental'

Butterfly Tag card

Happy Sunday Everyone !

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend whatever you have been up to, it is lovely and sunny here which always helps the mood doesn't it :)

The card I have to share with you here I am really annoyed with myself about as I actually made it for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #94 and then just haven't had chance to blog it so I missed the end date for the challenge Doh !
Still I thought I would share it anyway...especially since I managed to use all 7 elements from the wheel !

I used a pretty tag freebie digi stamp from Buddly Crafts which I printed onto cream hammered card and fussy cut out, I inked the edge of the tag and the sentiment with Distress ink 'Broken China' which I think is why in the photo it has taken on a bit of a greeny tinge but it is definitely cream lol.
I coloured the little butterflies on the tag with Promarkers and added some nail heads to a few of the wildflowers. I found a little offcut of red gingham ribbon in my drawer so used that for the top of the tag then used a little piece of twine to add a cute butterfly charm.

The sentiment is one of the new clear stamps from DSB and I die cut that with one of my new stitched circle dies. The blue and cream snippets of paper are from my bit box.
Butterflies were a magazine freebie die and the corners are Tattered Lace.

I'm off now to make a card for the new Challenge to make sure I get that one in on time !
I will also be catching up on all of your lovely blogs,

That's all for now,

Don't Feed The Birds - MAWTT Challenge #65

Hi Everyone,

It's time for a new Challenge over on the Moving Along With The Times blog and this fortnight's theme is chosen by Mrs Duck (The Duck's Doodahs) and she has wants to see creations using the second verse of her chosen song as inspiration.

I have used Seagulls (quite literally) for my card...it had to be done living so near to the sea and in recognition of the 6 or so we get in the garden every morning pinching all the bread we put out for the other birds !

I have used a fun image from Lilyboo Designs 'Don't Feed the Birds'

I coloured the image with Promarkers and matted onto bright blue card, the papers are Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is one of the fab new clear stamps available from DigiStamp Boutique. I printed the image twice so that I could fussy cut one of the gulls and the life ring.
Finished off with some Josy Rose nail heads.

Pop over to MAWTT and check out my teamies fabulous creations, we look forward to you joining us :)

Wedding Swing

Good Morning Everyone,

In my last post I said that my next card was a complete contrast to my last one and it is definitely that...what I call a 'frou frou' card haha and the type of card I always feel the least happy with once finished.

I used 'Wedding Swing' from Di's Digis for this card which was great fun to colour with my Promarkers. The hearts were cut with Sizzix and IO dies and the border die cut is Joanna Sheen.
The paper was a freebie paper from a magazine and the sentiment is one of Annette's (Netty's Cards) fabulous freebies which I printed out then die cut with my stitched circle dies.

I am entering this card into the following Challenges:

Di's Digi Challenge - Lots of Pink or Red
Creative Inspirations - Love is in the Air/Pink or Red
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Chall/02 - ATG
Digi Choosday 06 - ATG
Allsorts #454 - Love is in the Air
CCC Digi Creations Challenge #89 - It's All About Love

Flutterby Dreams

Hi Everyone,

The card I'm sharing with you today I made with a particular Challenge in mind that I haven't played along with before.

I used a Clearly Besotted stamp set 'Flutterby Dreams' for my card

I stamped the sentiment and butterflies in Memento black ink and coloured the butterflies with my Promarkers. I then added lots of Wink of Stella to them and they are so sparkly IRL. To finish I used a Gelly Roll Sparkle pen to doodle a frame around the edge of the panel just to add a bit of interest and to tie in with the sparkle on the butterflies.
I found some card that was a really good match so I made a tent style blank for my panel.

I am pleased with how this card turned out, I think CAS is definitely more my 'thing' lately. Having said that my next post I will be sharing a card that is a complete contrast to this one  ;-)

My Time to Craft Challenge #364 - Love is All You Need

Hi Everyone

Today is the start of a new Challenge at My Time To Craft and the theme this fortnight is 'Love is All You Need'  so we want to see Valentine's, Wedding, Anniversary or just about anything that speaks Love.

For my card I decided to use 'Mac' from DigiStamp Boutique and because he is just so cute I decided to go quite CAS with just him as the focal point.

I used my Promarkers to add some shading to the cute pooch and to colour the heart. I also added Glossy Accents to the heart. The sentiment comes with the image and I then matted onto Ruby then Black card.
I love this cute dog so much with his adorable expression :) We hope to see all of your fab creations over at MTTC, just click the badge below to go straight to the Challenge.

I hope you are all having a great weekend,

Pastel Christmas

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great weekend, it has been a wet and dull one here and then we had a flurry of snow this morning and now we have lovely blue sky so a bit of a mixed bag !

My card I am sharing with you today I made with the latest challenge at Merry Monday in mind, the theme there is 'Make a card with pastel colours' which is something I very rarely do I usually reach for the traditional red and green or if I do use blues, pinks etc I use the brighter shades.

I used a Pachela Studios digi image from Buddly Crafts for my card (it was a freebie ages ago and I didn't save the name :( )

I coloured the image with Promarkers and cut it out with the largest stitched circle die from my Ebay set, the papers are Pink Petticoat and snippets from my bit box matted onto pale blue card. The snowflakes are cut with Clearly Besotted dies. Sentiment is from a DigiStamp Boutique set.
I used a white gel pen on the hat pompoms.

I really colouring this image in pastel and will definitely be doing it again,

I am entering this card into the following Challenges

Merry Monday #275 - Pastel Colours

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Di's Digi Design Challenge 2018#01 - Winter
Little Miss Muffet Challenge #181 - Anything Goes

In the time it has taken me to write this post our weather has gone from blue sky to black and hailstones lol so looks like a lovely afternoon in my craft room is on the cards :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever the weather where you are,

Hugs Kaz xxx
