Roses are Red......or Pink !

Hi Everyone,
I would like to start by welcoming my new followers Shaz and Di :) and to say a special thanks to Barb for the lovely comment on her fab blog that brought them to my little blog.....if I had got the hang of this linking thing I would link you but this techy idiot here has still to work that one out :(
Anyway it gives me such a buzz when I get a new lovely follower or comment, I love to read them it makes my day !

Onto my card, I have been practicing with my distress markers today (and also ordered some new colours ooops) and I'm reasonably happy with the result. The blending on the flower heads could have been a lot better but I think some of the problem might be the watercolour card I am using (I know ...A bad workman always blames his tools...lol but I do think I will try a different brand...any recommendations ?)
I used a Clearly Besotted rose stamp that was free in a magazine and did some masking to stamp it 3 times, the sentiment is from the same set. You can just see in the pic that I added a few drops of glossy accents to the petals for dew.

Well thats it for now, I'm off to visit some of your lovely blogs
See you soon,
Hugs,
Kaz x

Hi Kaz,
Love your roses, just beautifully made, and thanks for the welcome to your blog, will welcome you on my next post hadn't connected the name Scrapmondo with Karen Knotts :)
Re the ,linking.
I explain it on my WOYWW post this week.
Will just add this:
1. NEXT on the left to the widget you use to add "photos " is the " Link" button.
2. Click on it.
3. Then follow the instructions on my blog post on Wednesay I have a snip added to the post to explain how to make the link open a new window so clicking on the link does not take your visitor away from you blog :(

Hope that helps,
Shaz.x

Gorgeous card Karen - love the colouring of the beautiful roses.
Thanks for popping by my blog - and for the lovely comment left yesterday.
The font I used on the card is Zapfino - I use a Macbook so not sure if available in Word - but probably is lol!!!
Just started following your blog too.
Have a fabulous day.
