My Time to Craft - Challenge #368

Good Afternoon,

A new Challenge has started today at My Time to Craft and this fortnight we would love to see your Boxes or Bags with Matching Tag !

Now me and measuring/measurements do not see eye to eye lol and whenever I try making anything resembling a box the results are never good so this fortnights challenge really was a challenge for me ;)
I put it off as long as possible but finally a couple of days ago I put my big knickers on and thought that's it I'm doing this ( a bit like how Edmund Hillary must have felt when he was about to set off up Mount Everest I'm sure hehehe). I spent most of the day Thursday watching You Tube videos looking for a box that didn't require any cutting as this is where I usually come unstuck, I came across Pootles blog/videos and found some she had demo'ed using 6x6 paper and I finally settled on this cute little milk carton.

I used a sheet of Stamping Up 6 x 6 paper that was part of the goodies I won in a giveaway on the lovely Rebecca's blog aka Mellymoo Papercrafting which I have been saving for a special project. I absolutely love the colour and it goes with my colour scheme in my craft room so now my little milk carton can sit on my shelf to remind me of beating my phobia ! Ok phobia is a bit dramatic but you get my gist of how proud of my little box I am :)

I followed this project video here  to make the little carton and used a heart peg from Hobbycraft on the top, I cut a little tag with a Clearly Besotted die and the flower is a Joycrafts die. I have lots of these little resin flowers in my stash so I added one to the centre of the flower then stamped 'Hugs' from the Many Mini Messages set from Clearly Besotted to finish.

The finished carton is the perfect size for a nail polish or lip balm stocking filler.

Pop over to the blog and check out my teamie's fab creations and we look forward to seeing your entries

That's all for now, I will be back with my second post of the day later

Hi Kaz, a wonderful little gift box, love making different items to house gifts when I can, I once made beaded Christmas Spider decorations and housed them in milk cartons on top of some Christmas chocolates. Some recipients were less than impressed with opening their box and discovering a spider... Have a wonderful week.... Megan

SUCCESS, Kaz! You did it!! The milk carton is adorable, too! I know what you mean about procrastinating and measuring! I think it took three tries for me to finally get my project right!! Now that you have this off your list, what's your next adventure?!?
