In the Garden

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend, I have had a lovely day in my craft room today colouring lots of images up ready for cards.

My card today is a bit of a summery one but I have actually made it ready for my MIL's birthday in December (I'm never normally so organised Lol) as she loves her garden and allotment so I always make her a card garden related.
I used the In The Garden set from Digistamp Boutique and I printed it twice plus some extra elements and had a lot of fun decoupaging the image.

You get the seed packets and little flowers separately as well so you can add them where you like so I resized them, coloured and fussy cut out to use as embellishments. I popped them up with glue gel.

Here is a side view

I'm really pleased with how this turned out and looking forward to doing the male version at some stage,

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge - Birthday Cards
Creative Knockouts - Lots of Layers

Thats all for now,

Odd Dog

Hi Everyone,

I'm back to share a pair of Odd Dog cards, again quite simple which seems to be my 'style' at the moment :) Hopefully they are not to simple to be boring !

For this first one I used some papers from The Works and a freebie sentiment stamp. I punched the corners of the image panel for a bit of interest and after mounting the papers onto black card I added a thin strip of black to cover the join in the papers. Mounted onto Kraft card blank and pearls from my stash.

The second one I used printed card from Anna Marie Designs which I matted onto blue card, a strip of paper from my snippets box and using my hole punch I made a few card candi to use in the corners to make this card more suitable for a male. The sentiment is another magazine freebie.

Thats all for now, thank you for all of your lovely comments/emails I am feeling much more human now. I have had the date through for my MRI...10th October so not long to wait to find out what needs to happen next.

Simply Teddy Set

Hi,
Hope everyone is well, I have been busy catching up on your lovely blogs finally today...I had missed so many gorgeous creations !

I have a set of 4 cards to show you today that I made using the Simply Teddies A4 set from DigiStamp Boutique, I thought I would show them altogether so you can see what you get in the set as it is such good value for £1.25. You get 4 images with matching sentiments in both pre-coloured and outline. I have used the pre-coloured images which are great for quick cards or if you are not in the mood for colouring.

I apologise for the quality of the photos, the light was rubbish and I had a bit of a nightmare !

They are all 5x5 cards and i have used a mix of Dovecraft papers and a pad I got a while ago from The Works.

Thats all for now, I will be back later with some Odd Dog cards to share with you,

Milestone Birthdays

Hi Everyone,
Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend, it has been beautiful weather here.

I'm so sorry I haven't been around in a while but I have been poorly for a few weeks and last week visited the sit and wait clinic at my surgery because I had been having the most horrendous tummy pain, next thing I knew I was being rushed to hospital as I had a temp of 38.9 and my bp had dropped through the floor. They thought it was appendicitis but after scans they ruled that out and discovered I have a large cyst on my ovary instead so I am now waiting for an MRI to rule out anything more sinister....touch wood.
I have been on IV antibiotics in the hospital as I had developed quite a bad infection (my fault I have a tendency to brush things off and think they will get better on their own Oops) but now my temperature is back to normal I begged them to let me go home with antibiotics instead....I'm a terrible patient lol but I feel so much less stressed in my own environment plus I was going stir crazy as I didn't have any way of reading my blogs or doing any sort of crafting :(

I have a couple of cards to share today that I had made a couple of weeks ago using the Milestone Birthdays set from DigiStamp Boutique. This is such a useful set.

I just matted this one onto black card as you can see, the paper is from a Trimcraft pack I think but I have lost the cover page. I love it though ...so pretty. Kept it very simple again as it is for the 'flat' box.

This one is even simpler still with no ribbon or embellishments, the paper is embossed and glittery but you can't really see in the photo. All matted onto silver mirri.

Thats all for now, I will be steadily catching up on all of your lovely blogs over the next day or so I'm sure I have missed some wonderful creations while I have been awol,

Hugs, Kaz xxx

Poinsettia Sparkle

Hi Everyone,
I'm finally here again, I can't believe we are nearly round to another weekend again !
I do have quite a few cards ready to blog it's just finding chance to sit down and actually write the post. One of the reasons I am short on time lately is that we got a new puppy a couple of months ago and oh my goodness I had forgotten how much work they are Lol

We sadly lost our beloved Jack Russell boy Max at the start of the summer, he collapsed in the garden and died in hubby's arms :( We had previously agreed that when Max was gone (not realising we would lose him yet as he was only 12) there would be no more as we have 3 house cats too but a few days later hubby comes home and announces he has bought a puppy ! To be totally honest I wasn't happy to start with but once they are there in your home you can't help but fall in love can you ;) He is a cutie, another Jack Russell and his name is Chester ! but as I said in the beginning a lot of work...he still hasn't quite got to grips with tiddling outside all the time yet...I will spend 15 mins outside in the garden with him and he comes back in and immediately pees on the floor grrrr so if anyone has any tips for that one they would be gratefully received !

Anyway enough waffle and onto my card...

I used a Woodware clear stamp set for this card, I stamped with Memento ink and coloured the image with Promarkers. I used diamond Stickles for the berries, they are really sparkly. The sentiment came with the image in the set. This is a 6x6 card so as you can see it is quite a large stamp and really enjoyable to colour. As I am way behind with my Christmas card count this year I made a few more of these matting them onto different colour card so they aren't identical.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Christmas Cards All Year Round - Use leaves
HLS September Christmas Challenge - Sparkle

That's all for now,

Hydrangea Blooms

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend, I have managed to have a bit of time in my craft room so I will have a few cards to share with you over the next few days. The one I have to show you now is a Thinking of you/Sympathy card using a gorgeous Hydrangea image from DigiStamp Boutique. I printed the image quite large to fill the card...the sentiment comes with the image along with a few others.

I coloured the image with Promarkers, and added it to a slightly larger square of blue card. Finished it off with a couple of matching blue butterflies which were cut with a free gift die set from a recent magazine.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Butterfly Challenge #84
Aud Sentiments Challenge #187
A Passion for Promarkers #410 - Make It Digital

Bye for now
Hugs, Kaz xxx
